I’m currently running on my onboard graphics, which is horrible. Flashing my currently bricked Radeon XFX 5770.
Now, if I use the code Atiwinflash -f -p 0 5770.rom (5770.rom is the BIOS file), this will ONLY install onto my PCI-E slot, right? I won’t be doing anything to harm the onboard? I just need to make sure I do this right so I don’t make my computer completely useless trying to last-minute flash my bios, as I might not get enough to purchase a card before monday.
So, WHAT DO? IS THIS RIGHT? SLOT 0 IS THE STANDARD FIRST PCI-E SLOT AND ALL THIS SHIT SCARES ME. I don’t want to ruin the bios on the onboard card, else I’ll have no way of fixing anything or ordering a new part.
See, I think I'm doing this right, I have everything set up to flash this card, I'm just panicking and need reassurance I am doing this right... Am I?
