Flashing Red DRAM Light, Loud Beeping, and No Display With New Build

Thread pretty much says it all. I really don't doubt very much that I made a mistake during installation, but I can at least rule out any static discharge ruining any components. Everything should be in working order, if it were plugged in correctly.

look at the serial number label on the mb. the last 4 are the bios rev of the mb. if it old use the usb flashback port to put the newest bios file on the mb. also try posting with one dimm after to see if it a dimm issue. on the mb make sure the 8 pin power plug is connected.

I have the 24-pin connected, but I'm not sure which the 8-pin power is. Can't find it :O maybe that's the issue. In the mean time, I'll try that with the mb/DIMM. Thanks!

it the eight pin plug connector on the edge of the mb.

Not sure why I can't find it. I assume it's just like the rest of the connections, but only with 8 pins. Would it go from the MB to the PSU like the 24-pin connector does?

Just switched out 1 of the RAM sticks and took the other out/placed it back in. That worked! No more DRAM LED light or beeping, and the display came on.

BUT, now it's saying to plug in my PCI connectors for my GFX Card, which I thought for sure were plugged in correctly. Is there anything else to do with that other than take the 8-pin connection and connect it to both the PSU and to the GFX Card?

Realized both the 6-pin and 8-pin connectors need to be plugged into the GFX Card (I thought it was one or the other). Windows is now installing! 😀
