Flat-panel monitor recommendation needed

It's been been a long time since I've purchased a flat panel monitor and I need some help. What do you guys recommend in the 22-23" category? I am a gamer but not a die-hard by any means. I can get hooked on one game and play it to death and then go for months without picking up another one. I want a high quality model... no ghosting... high contrast ratio... and preferably one that is TFT (thin film transistor) based. I've squirreled away some money for this upgrade so price is not an issue.

Not a bad rig, but you MAY be stressing the 8800GT on 22-23" at 1080p with IQ maxed out in games. Also, a budget will us pick out the monitors.

It's not the best for movie viewing cuz there'll be 2 thin black bars at the top & bottom since the native resolution isn't 1080. Do you watch HD video on the pc? If so, this:
