flexbay to usb

i replaced the motherboard.
there is one fewer usb connection points on the new one but there is a "flexbay" port.
the flexbay port is the same shape and pin count/order as the usb one. can i connect the usb to this?

or can it be used for firewire im gussing no to both of these but cant even find out what this conection is for
