Question Flicker when alt tabbing in some games

When I alt tab back into some games with my new card it does a small flicker instead of a smooth transition into the game screen. Can someone explain this please ?

Asus Dual rtx 3060 v2 oc, is my card.

Hey there,

Sadly this is Windows for you. It often doesn't transition between desktop and full screen/bordered when alt-tab'ing. It could be a Windows bug, or driver bug. This happens for a lot of people. As long as the game adjusts after a couple of seconds and you can play without issue, then that's about as good as it gets. Why would you be want to swapping anyway. Won't help your gaming much.

So other people have had this before as well ? I know my friend says his does it in unreal games to when I talked to him so I wanted to ask about it and know if someone had a more detailed explanation and if there was a fix or if it is a just random with how it is with compatibility with some cards kinda deal.

Game runs fine after it does it. and it doesn't do it in say something like League of legends or Elden Ring.

Also sadly had to swap, my old GPU died.
