Question Flickering/artifacting when using USB-C Monitor...why is this happening ?

The wallpaper video is from Razer Axon which is basically a live wallpaper. It's completely glitched out.

And, in general, I'm having weird color distortion and pixelation across Windows and games.

This only happens when hooked up through USB-C to Razer Raptor 27 inch 165hz. But the issue even materializes on my native Razer 14 screen if I'm hooked up to the monitor.

Any idea what's going on? I turned HDR off and it's still present. Not sure what the deal is.

It's the included usb-c to usb-c cable that came with the monitor. It's green and razer-themed lol

Hahaha fair enough The most obvious thing to check if you haven't already done so would be for driver updates. Have you tried lowering the resolution and refresh rate to see if that makes any difference?

I've checked for updates, monitor hasn't had an update since 2021 which I installed a year ago. Nvidia is updated, plus everything else I can think of.

I just tried lowering resolution to 1080p and FPS to 60 in windows. Then tried the wallpaper again, same weird discoloration and flickering.

Its the Razer Blade 14 2021 with RTX 3070. When not connected to an external monitor, the laptop screen has none of these issues.

Unless I've misunderstood it sounds like you are displaying on both the laptop screen and the external display at the same time. Have you tried displaying on only the external display ?
