Hey there, I am having problems with my external monitor. Whenever I connect my power adapter to my laptop, there's weird flickering going on. I don't know what makes that happen. Can anyone, or an expert, help me out on this one? Thank you so much. I appreciate the help.

here's the video:

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to mention what the make and model of your laptop is, it's SKU would help us two fold. As for your panel, what is the model for your Philips branded display? How is it connected to your laptop? Have you tried using another cable for the display?

As for your wall outlet, is it grounded? Speaking of grounded, where are you located?

Hey there,

Basically, my laptop model is a Dell Vostro 14-5459, and my Philips display model is a Philips 192E or Meridian 192E2, and it is connected to my laptop HDMI port with a vga to hdmi adapter, but it will do this weird flickering. I tried other cables, such as a new VGA cable and a new HDMI adapter, but it still gave me the same results. Keep giving me this weird flickering on display.

My wall outlet is grounded. I checked the outlet, and everything seems fine. And yes, I lived in Malaysia; we had a 3-pin plug. I don't know what's causing this, but it really does give me headaches to see my monitor flickering like this.

I am hoping this issue will be solved.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it!
