Flickering screen goes black

Hi, I have a year old HP Omen. Recently I was playing a game, I closed down the laptop and when I went to turn it on again the screen was black (plugged it into an external monitor and the computer was working just fine), and to get the screen working again I had to do a couple of hard resets and hope for the best. It was like that a couple of weeks, and then it seemed to fix itself and there were no more issues. Then I played another game recently and now the screen flickers badly for about 30 seconds and then goes black again and I have to restart the computer. It doesn't seem like a problem with the screen but rather the graphics chip, but I don't know how to fix it. Any advice appreciated.

If it is the GPU it would need to be replaced, and depending on your devices hardware, it may require the motherboard be replaced along with it.
