Flickering when using amd overdrive

Every time I set my fx-6300 to 3.5ghz instead of the throttled 1.5ghz my screen will start to flash I have never had this issue before until now please help.

Which way are you setting it to that frequency ? Smart Profile ? Jacking up multiplier ?
If you want trouble free settings, do it in BIOS.

It has never done this before and I have been doing it for a while now the processor will throttle itself to 1.5ghz when I am having no heat issues on on my cpu, north or south bridge they all sit at normal temperatures when gaming and when idling when I set the multiplier to the normal FX-6300 speed of 3.5ghz
