Howdy,
I built a new PC the other day, dual-boot, and everything worked fine, except in Windows 7 the audio channels are flipped (ie: I hear left sounds in the right side of the headphone), but in Linux it works just fine, so I don't think its a hardware issue?
I have updated the audio drivers (Realtek HD), I tried both with the drivers in the mobo's website, and then realtek's website (which seem to be a newer version)
Googling around I can't seem to find any software side solution, everyone recommends swapping the cables on the hardware side, but since it works fine in Linux I would just fix the Windows side and have the problem in Linux! (though swapping channels with alsa seems easy, but first I want to try fixing Windows before trying that)
edit: Just realized this only happens with the front jack, but my headphones (I use my cellphone ones) have a short cable so I can't use them on the back.
edit2: And with that new information I found that this seems to be a common problem with Realtek HD, and there doesn't seem to be a solution.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
