I've seen IDE to SATA but I haven't seen any FDD to IDE/SATA. USB is the only option for a floppy I've seen other than the standard FDD connector.

Perhaps a "SuperDisk" (ls120) drive? They're still out there, IDE-based, and read floppies. Otherwise, maybe an external USB floppy that you fab up an internal bracket for?

Has there been some response to this specific request?
I also am looking for a conversion from 34-pin floppy disk
to 40-pin IDE (preferred), SATA, or USB; either a cable or
some sort of in-line device (purchase, or construction data)
would probably serve. Deviceside.com's FC5025 looks good
for part of my application but appears to require Win7 Pro
software.

Got another problem. Do SDD 3g/b 120GB (like Intel 320-series) cards work well with when plugged into 6g/b MOBO ports (such as Sabertooth X58)?
