Hello All!
A few days ago I decided to purchase a new 4600 for my father (his old
machine is soooooo slow). Anyway, being the cheap person I sometimes am, I
decided to save $20 on the floppy and put the floppy from my own machine
(Antec Case, self built not DELL) as I do not remember the last time I used
it.
Now, the 4600 arrived and it does not have the floppy bracket. I have a
drive, but no brackets. I looked into the Dell Home and SB stores and could
not find one. Anybody knows how? I am trying to avoid EBAY. There were a few
there, but I had previous bad experiences with EBAY and try to avoid it.

Any help will be appreaciated. I tought of just getting him a flash drive,
but they are small so he will probably lose it and he is very "old school"
so he will rather use his floppies.

Thanks in advance!
Diego J.

You can get him external USB floppy drive, connects to one of the USB ports
at rear of 4600. This drive is quite cheap too, you can get it in most
computer stores.

Call Dell spare parts for kit (D/PN) M1210. Runs about $20 and includes the
drive, cage/bracket, ribbon cable, and the single screw needed.

(if you don't wish to go the external USB route).

Thanks for the help to you both. I think that I will go the internal way
(less stuff floating
around).

Thanks!
