FM2+ cpu on my FM2+/FM2 mobo?

I saw on a few threads that its not possible to put FM2+ cpus on FM2 motherboards, but I have a gigabyte GA-F2A55M-DS2 which says on the front that it is FM2+/FM2 compatible, is this true?

according to it it does not support.
and generally it does not support it either. I guess

The rev 3.0 version of the GA-F2A55M-DS2 does support FM2+ CPUs.

You can use CPU-Z to identify the motherboard version you have.

yep it all depends on the revisions the first one usually doesn't. the bios is usually too old or may need update
