Greetings tomshardware community

1. When will FM2+ Motherboards be released?
2. What current FM2 CPUs/APUs will be compatible with FM2+ Motherboards?
3. Will this socket have major support?

Thank you in advance

Solution
2.As long as the wattage and BIOS is fine, all FM2 CPUs (most, if not all are APU) will work on a FM2+ motherboard.

3.I have read mixed things. So far, FM2+ is confirmed by AMD for their Steamroller's Kaveri APUs. I have also majorly heard that AM3+ might also continue for the other CPUs for Steamroller.
AMD will support FM2+ and AM3+ as equally as they do now with FM2 and AM3+.
Because of the new FM2+ socket, and old AM3+ socket, the FM2+ might be supported more, who knows?
1. Resellers will receive the CPU around the end of 2013. The CPU and motherboard will not be available to the public until around February 2014.
2. Yes, a FM2+ motherboard will work with a FM2 CPU. But, A FM2 motherboard will not work with a FM2+ CPU, due to additional pins.
3. What do you mean by major support? It is the next generation (3rd), Steamroller's Kaveri.

1. Ok thank you

2. Which FM2 CPUs will work? Apparently only FM2 APUs will work with FM2+ Motherboards.

3. I mean will it be the next majorly supported socket (previous ones were AM3+, FM2 etc.)
