Fm2+ or AM3 Motherboards and cpu

I am about to build a new computer and i cant decide if i want to go with the athlon x4 860k with a GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H, which is on combo deal.

But the Fx 4350 is now on sale and i can get it with a refurbished MSI 970 GAMING-R AM3+ AMD 970

both sets come out to be the same price but with would be better to go with in my new build?

Go with the AMD Athon X4 860K CPU and the Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H motherboard combo. The Athlon will be a bit better than the FX-4350 in single and all core performance. You can also overclock it to a higher speed.

If you are planning on a future upgrade, am3+ certainly has a stronger upgrade path.

What Max McCarthy said. If you want to upgrade in the future, AM3+ is your best option. If you do not want to upgrade, then the Athlon will be your choice.
