I am looking to purchase the Focusrite Scarlett Solo to record and play guitar through Guitar Rig 5.

I see the Solo has 2 RCA outputs on the back in which the volume is controlled by the monitor knob on the front of the unit.

Attached to my PC is an external DAC/AMP that I use for everyday sound. This device here http://www.tpdz.net/en/products/vx1/

My present DAC/AMP is connected to some very good speakers and a subwoofer.

Can I attach the outputs from the 'Solo' into my present DAC/AMP to allow my guitar sound to play through my very good speakers and subwoofer?

Can this be done without issues? It looks like I would be sending amplified sound into another amplifier.

I'd like to avoid purchasing monitors if I can.

I do know I can listen to the 'Solo' using headphones but was hoping to play with my current speaker setup

Solution
Your DAC/AMP has an aux input that should work fine.
You will have to be careful not to turn the output of the Scarlett up high enough to overload the input of the amp.
If you do you will hear distortion regardless of the volume setting of the amp.

Thank you for the reply
