So, I recently bought a Focusrite Solo interface. I have it hooked up to my Behringer XM8500. The problem that I am having is that I have to max out the sensitivity on the interface for it to be picked up by Direct Monitor and Audacity and any other thing I try to use. Therefore it is extremely sensitive, the mic being far away you can still hear minimal things. I tried going on Windows and lowering the sensitivity but it doesn't work. Any help?

Thanks

1| Is it possible to pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS and your audio equipment?
2| Have you made sure your BIOS and remaining device drivers(namely chipset and/or USB) are up to date?
AMD SYSTEM USERS
If you're using an AMD system you should connect your Scarlett Solo to a USB 3.0 port after downloading and installing the driver.
If you don't have any USB 3.0 ports available on your AMD system, please download and install this driver instead before connecting your Scarlett Solo to a USB 2.0 port.

3| If you're on Windows 10, you'd find it best to disable automatic device driver updates and then proceed with uninstalling and reinstalling your drivers(of which one is your interface).
4| Seeing how Windows 10 seems to throw perfectly good hardware around, you could try installing under compatibility mode:
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility Tab>Windows 7/8 [from drop down menu]
or with an elevated command:
Right click installer>Run as Administrator

Thank you very much for the reply.

PC Specs:

-Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

-Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

-Zalman Fans (x5) F1 Fluid Dynamic Bearings
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler

As for the motherboard, I know it is an Asus model but I don't know exactly which one it is since I would have to open my rig for that. The reason I don't know the exact model is because I took it out of this:

The OS is Windows 10 and the audio equipment would be the Focusrite Solo interface and the Behringer XM8500. It is connected to a 3.0 port since the others would not work, with the information you kindly provided now I can notice it was missing that 2.0 driver. I still have to try the other recommendations you gave me. I was reading online and people that own the Focusrite Solo interface have bought a "Cloud Booster" to enhance their power input, therefore being able to control their sensitivity better. Does this work?

Thanks
