I am looking for UK suppliers of gold and silver foil for use in a laser
printer (Canon LPB 460) for block printing (transfer) onto paper or card.
I've done a search and found loads of companies who do the printing but I
want to do it myself.

Any ideas or links

Best wishes

Have you tried Foilink?

They are a UK trade association for foil users.

I'll send you their e-mail address off list.

Cheers Brian

I found Foilink on the web and although it looks interesting...I am not
trade. I've also found the correct name for what I was trying to
describe...it is foil fusing. I remember a few years ago a company sold
small sheets of foil which you attached over a laser printed output, over
the parts you wanted "foiled" and you would then run the paper and foil
through the laser again. That's the stuff I am looking for.

However, Foilink has lead me to other sites but I'm away to my bed now.
Thanks anyway

I use dozens of colors of foil. The way mine works is,you take the laser
printed paper place the foil over the part you want foiled, then run it
through a laminator. My unit is an Omnicrom made for foiling. Many GBC
laminators will also foil.I would not want to run foil through my laser
printer!

http://www.vistapapers.co.uk seems to be the UK distributor for
PaperDirect. They have some of the LaserColor foil. Years back, I
bought a big sample pack of that from PaperDirect. It never stuck very
well using the printers I had then; I'll have to try it in something
newer.

Foilink caters to all sorts of foil users, so don't let the term "trade" put
you off.

I used to get mine from Paper Direct. Just checked their website
http://www.paperdirect.com and they still have what I used to buy.
