So I bought used 1080Ti FE with Alphacool Eiswolf 120GPX waterblock and because I have no place to fit that waterblock currently I had to put on reference cooler. When I was taking off waterblock I discovered than one of the thermal pad on the VRAM had still foil on one side. First owner propably forgot to take it off when he was putting on that waterblock for the first time. Do you think this can somehow shorten the lifespan of the GPU or atleast that particular memory chip? Card was never overclocked before, memory was always running at stock speed and I know that GDDR5X is more power efficient so it's not as hot as normal GDDR5. Of course other side of thermal pad was touching memory and heatsink was touching the side with foil.
