Is it all possible to Folder Redirect the My Documents Folder without
moving the files from the source to the target?
Here's what I have. TSE (running Citrix) that folder redirects
everyone's My Docs to a server close to the Citrix farm. Which is
good for TSE (Citrix) But...
Most of the users are at locations across a frame relay and have their
My Docs folder redirected to a server at their site (when using their
desktops). This is confusing for them as they have 2 "different"
My Documents folders, and often get lost when they run apps from the
Citrix farm.
When I apply a policy that redirects the Citrix logons back to their
local server, it wants to pull their Citrix My Docs over to their local
server's My Docs, which is actually their live and production My Docs
folder (Citrix pulls from a copy that gets over written during the
nightly backup).
What I need to do is to have the TSE (Citrix) Redirection just point,
don't move the files. Is this doable?
I know if you redirect a user's My Docs manually, (from the Desktop)
it will ask me if I want to move the old source files. I need to do
that on a policy basis, or if necessary, a registry entry on each of
the TSE servers in the Citrix farm.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
