Folders appearing as application under type

Hello,

I have a digital camera and when it opens, it has 4 folder icons. And under type the 2 of them are file folders and the other 2 are applications. And when I try open the ones that show as applications they do not. I keep getting errors. Any susggestions

Terrry... could you perhaps post a screenshot of those error messages you mentioned so we know what we are dealing with?
