Question "following discovered devices can not be placed in the map

Trying to get a Brother DCP L2550 printer onto my wireless network. The message above keeps appearing in my network map. Thanks for any help. The computer is on a Home network (not Public), and is running Windows 7 Pro. I guess I could hook the printer into the router with an Ethernet cable, but it's nicer to have it next to me for convenience. I've check with support and scoured the web for clues, but nothing seems to do the trick. I even temporarily shut down Zone Alarm and tried to connect, but no go. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

Make and model router?

Are you able to run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt on your computer and post the results.

Procedurally you will need to set up the Brother printer with a static IP that is outside of the DHCP IP address range allowed to the router. And also configure the printer to access the wifi network by name and password.

Do you have admin rights to the router? If not, you will need help from whoever does....
