I have my font defocus in Vista32. In XP everything is ok. In Vista the white font is out of focus, and the black font have this reddish/brown line around it. I have Viewsonic 19'' flat monitor on X1950XT gc. Anyone else have the same problem?

ah, and btw, my max resolution on 1440x900 is 85 but in Vista I can only set it to 60Hz.

Best regards, Skullmonkey

It looks like this

Since you are posting in the LCD forum, i assume you have an LCD.
If not, then you most likely have ClearType turned on which just looks blurry on a CRT (even a flat tube CRT). Since you comment about running your display at 85Hz, it sounds like you may have a CRT. (since most LCDs only display at a fixed 60Hz).
If you have a LCD, make sure you are still set to the native resolution of the LCD, since at any other resolution it scales the screen when displaying it which will blur/distort text.

It is an LCD and running on native resolution. In windows XP I get 85Hz and the fonts are clear, in Vista is 60Hz and the fonts are smudged!
