Font of all windows applications is way to big

So recently I got a 1440p monitor and have been running that off my 4k laptop. For some reason the font of all of my file names has changed on my laptop screen and are ow a lot bigger than what they are meant to be.
I have tried changing the scaling on my laptop to try and fix it but nothing has changed.

Make sure that you have the right display selected when you change scaling and you may have to relog to get the changes fully applied

Display Resolution should be checked too - - - it needs to be set to the native resolution of the monitor before messing with any other display settings like scaling etc
