ASUS Prime x570-P
And the Prime x570-PRO
I understand that in January, they will be shipping with the BIOS updated and presumably tested for the 5600x.
I don’t need a not of bells and whistles.
I don’t OC, run liquid cooling, lights, or wifi.
Ideas here?
Corsair 650watt ps
16gb ram
Asus 1060 video card.
Thanks in advance.

I understand that in January, they will be shipping with the BIOS updated and presumably tested for the 5600x.

Any board (of those 2) that was made after 8/17/20 should have the required 2606 BIOS version to run the 5600X processor.

Just because you buy one after January don't guarantee it was not sitting on a shelf in a warehouse since before that date.

For your question for the average user their nothing worth spending the higher price for.

the pro has more pcie slots, more usb ports and headers and it appears to have a lot more flashy light abilities. oh and the ethernet is a different chip for the pro model.

overall if you're just basic use, then extra cost for the pro model is not even close to worth it. i see it as $100 more which is not really justified for most users unless you just want to say you have the pro version instead of the p version
