Hey guys, I am not very good with PCs, but I have a pretty decent PC I bought from bestbuy a few years ago (maybe 3).

Specs:

GTX 3070

Amd Ryzen 7 3700X

Ram 16gb

(can't remember the rest).

I have had this issue that started maybe 10-12 months ago where whenever I boot my PC up to play a game, usually, the first game will crash my entire PC and this is the best way I can describe the crash. What happens is, my PC drops to like 1FPS for 2-3 seconds, and then the audio will glitch out and stutter loudly. After that, the audio will unfreeze, and I can still hear my friends in discord and even the game audio, but my game will never unfreeze and will result in me having to hard reset my PC by holding down the power button for several seconds. (It isn't a bluescreen crash as I can still see the game I'm playing, it's just frozen.

The crazy thing about it is, is after this happens once, I can leave my PC on for the next several days without ANY crashes. However, the moment I turn my PC off for the night, and turn it on the next morning, the SAME thing happens.

I can't remember what all I've tried to fix the issue. The only thing I can really remember is a downloaded an older NVIDIA graphics driver as I read something about their being an issue with the current one.

I try to keep my drivers up to date also.

Any suggestions? Please talk to me like I'm an idiot because I'm somewhat noobie when it comes to PCs :)
