Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask a question to the community who will no doubt know more about this than i will. I am currently playing a lot of CSGO (and Warframe) and average roughly anything between 120fps minimum to 250 (depending on situation), i have been told that having a 144hz monitor is a must for fps gaming and helps to smooth out movement which my normal 60hz monitor doesn't do.

So my question, in terms of purchasing a new monitor, would any normal 144hz monitor go well with my Nvidia 1050Ti or should i get a 144hz with Gsync albeit they are more expensive?

Apologies if this question has already been asked before!

Here's the deal....if you have a 144Hz monitor without GSync and you send it a signal that's less than or more than 144Hz you can get screen tearing.

A Gsync monitor will adapt it's refresh rate to you graphics card and this is supposed to minimize screen tearing.

I had 144hz and didnt have any tearing in csgo at higher than 144fps and i had around 250fps.You can always enable fast sync but IMO just for CSGO Benq 144hz is the best screen you can have YOU SEE EVERYTHING on that screen due to black equilizer and even if in other games the image was kinda washed out and bluish in CSGO it was just perfect with same settings.

It wont matter. I have a GSync 144hz monitor and have display lag in CSGO. It is an issue with the game and how it syncs with GPU or Gsync.

I had to run command in CSGO to force refresh rate to 144 or below herts or I'd get display lag.

The game is pretty basic and my system is way overpowered for the game. Without putting any refresh rate limiters in. I can get like 300+fps in game...

Mind you, this only happens in CSGO and I have had a lot of friends with same issue.

Just something to keep in mind.

However, for other games. GSync is for sure the way to go. I love it and use it in every game without issues except for CSGO.
