Surge protector or UPS? I will have a 950w Power supply

Yes. Most definitely. The power supply won't make a difference if an electrical surge comes. Ok, it might have a fuse in it, i'm not the most knowledgeable about power supplies, except which brands are best and how much power you need. However, if it's a choice between replacing a $100+ power supply or a $20/$30 surge protector, have the surge protector is definitely worth it.
