For my first gaming PC build from either NCIX or Canada Computers, should I go with Nvidia or AMD?

I know GTX880 is going to come out soon. Maybe at Gamescon this year it will be released. Or later. Is AMD coming out with new GPUs this year? I am not getting my gaming PC until next year so there is plenty of time to decide. Is Nvidia doing better or AMD?

Solution
Neither are better. Both have pros and cons. AMD usually has better price/performance. Nvidia has more software features like Shadow Play.
I guess I would wait for 880ti or even the 980 as I really want a performance increase from the 780/780ti. I want this PC build to last me a good 3 years at least if not 5 years. I would like to try out Nvidia as my last PC was a Intel/ATI 2900xt and I am not quite happy with the performance. But I know AMD has a better price/performance ratio than Nvidia. However, I would still want to try out Intel/Nvidia for my next build.

That's why I would go for Nvidia this time around because I did not have a good experience with ATI back in 2007 with the HD 2900xt. The drivers are just bad for it and it doesn't run games at high quality settings. I would wait for the gtx880 or gtx880ti or maybe even wait for the gtx980 as I am getting it next year.
