hi smart and kind people 😀

i really need help in building a rig for gaming and 3d rendering, modeling etc autodesk maya stuff, in 1-3 weeks time... please help me out 😉
i just finished my course so im not really advanced in 3d atm so ill not be looking for expensive/best-of-the-best stuffs.. just decent or above decent hardware.. i still want to play some games in ultra though with decent fps in 1080p..

1. cpu - Intel Core i7-4770K vs Intel Core i7-4930K
ill probably end up with Intel Core i7-4770K because of the price difference of the two.. right?

2. gpu - gtx 760 vs gtx 770 vs r9 280x
personally, i was looking for gtx 760 or 770 but im also aware what the amd mantle can bring in the near future. can you guys give me your opinions about this? or can you suggest other gpus that are good for both gaming and 3d rendering at around these price ranges?

3. motherboard - i have no options yet
can you guys suggest me a mobo that is decent enough but not so much extra fancy stuff that would translate to an expensive pricetag like that asus rampage

4. ram - no options yet
is 16 gig ram enough for this set-up or is 32 gig really necessary. and any thoughts on what ram brands is good for me?

5. psu - no options yet
how much watts in a psu should i be looking for?

il be looking for maybe a 22 inch 1080p monitor, medium tower case, maybe 256 ssd and 1 internal sata hard drive, hyper 212 evo (i heard this cheap cooler is very good) if this helps..

p.s. windows 7 or windows 8?

i think thats all of it. i would really appreciate any help from you guys
thanks..

1: 4770k should be fine

2: depends where you live. Some places the 280x is cheaper than the gtx 770.

3: Ga-z87x-ud3h or ud4h for cooler colorscheme.,

4: 16 is enough. if you can afford it get some 2133Mhz with a CAS latency on 9.

5: 550w +80 bronze should be fine.

Windows 7 vs windows 8 is up to you.

I don't normally put in faster RAM, but faster RAM is beneficial in rendering and 3D programs. Also went with the 770 over the 280x because of CUDA.

Solution

hi and really thanks for your reply. and yes 280x is cheaper here than gtx 770 but i forgot to mention that i heard some say amd gpu is better for 3d apps but some also say nvidia is better because of cuda.
il definitely take a look at those mobos and the rams you mentioned specially that cas latency.
thanks a lot for your reply i really appreciate it

hi and thanks for your time replying. sorry i forgot to mention we dont have amazon or newegg here where i live. but
that "Total: $1451.84" you mentioned hit the spot because thats "around" where my price range is so il definitely check the local prices of those. thanks i really appreciate your help

that cooler sounds pretty awesome ill definitely check that out. thank you again. that is what i asked for, options for me thank you for the reference..

can you guys confirm if i could run the newest games in ultra with decent fps?

and i plan to overclock.. not right now but if i feel i need to in the near future. so is it still ok if i go with 550w 80+ bronze?
