Are there any advantages for amd or intel CPUs in terms of performance running RedHat 5.4?

In particular i'm looking to run Oracle with either RedHat or Oracle Linux.

I have a choice of CPUs, amd or Intel. Does either CPU offer a performance advantage for oracle, dataguard on linux?
