Which motherboard should I use? z97x gaming 5 vs Z97X-SLI ?
I asked a company for a budget and they replaced my Z97X-SLI for a z97x gaming 5 and they said it was better. Is it true? Thank you.

I'd be more concerned about the Corsair C series PSU than the MoBos

But yes, under $225, since Z87 generation, I would choose the MSI or Gigabyte boards over Asus.

As for the boards. I can get the SLI for $100... the Gamng 5 is $134. The gaming 5 does have better networking, SPDIF, gold plated connectors, offers 3200 RAM support (likely irrelevant). Both have same Realtek ALC1150 chipset

What do you mean it wont be sufficient? Why can the first system be overclocked and the second no? Sorry Im new to pc hardware.

Both PSU's have poor capacitors and build quality is what i would consider unacceptable.

The 650 is built by Channelwell and scores a 7.0 build quality rating
The 850 is built by Chicony and scores a 8.5 build quality rating

The 750 is build by Chicony

On the Chicony builds....

Gag. Most of the output filtering on this unit uses Ltec capacitors. That's not tier one or even tier two for me... that's just about bottom rung. Remember that great big deal about ten years ago where some company started using a flawed electrolyte formula, and they started failing left and right? That was Ltec, right in the middle of it.

Meanwhile.....

The EVGA 750 G2 is only £90.11 ... almost £3 cheaper and scores a 9.5 Build Quality rating
The EVGA 750 B2 is ony £72.90 ... about £20 cheaper and scores a 9.5 Build Quality rating
