For those who want to understand hardware, is it better to use a PC than a laptop?

Because PC, you can change hardware at will and see which hardware parts are compatible, laptop k is rarer, more expensive and difficult to change parts and maintenance in general more time and work to do it. Notebook has the advantage of being small and portable. But pc looks better to be able to use and change parts at will. laptop, if the part burns, do you have to go to technical assistance and the PC, can you change it at home? Is it easier to use the pc?

If you do not need it to be portable and plan to use it a lot, Definitely a desktop, You do get OEM's like Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, HP that do like to have proprietary parts, usally there is a way around this, but annoying as its not standard, but they typically will outlast a laptop because even have proprietary parts, you can usually still replace it where a laptop well, if a board fails, well thats just a whole big can of worms where buying a new one would probably end up making more sense.

Definitely do some research and don't be afraid to ask for help here, thats what the entire forum is for.

I've been in a situation before where I had laptop just outright die just out side of warranty, The replacment board had the CPU aoldered on to it, wasn't removable so that alone ads to the cost and to tear the laptop apart to replace it was a lot of work, was cheaper to buy a new laptop or used few gen old gaming laptop for what I wanted to use it for.

Good luck.

It depends on the user. Some people could not sit in one place to use a computer (desktop). Other people could not accept the performance limitations of a laptop.
Many people have both. A desktop for "heavy duty" use and a modest priced laptop to handle everything else.
