Hey everyone,

I'm considering the TP-Link dual band usb wireless adapter (WDN3200) (http://www.tp-link.com/lb/products/details/TL-WDN3200.html). I don't know if TP-Link adapter drivers support the 5ghz only option.

Thanks

Are you asking about "Band Steering" ?? Where the router will automatically transfer devices connected at 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz? That requires a router that supports that feature.

I don't see any Google results that would indicate that Band Steering is available with the TP-Link.

Could you please provide me with screenshots?

Screen shots of what? SSID is a configuration item on your router. Set the 5Ghz SSID and password to different values than the 2.4Ghz and than associate the TP-Link with the 5Ghz SSID. If you don't put the password in for the 2.4Ghz SSID then there is no way the adapter can associate with it.
