I'm not sure what's going on but ever since I've bought my new GFX Card, my computer's been restarting itself and I presume due to heat, I never had any Temperature monitors running as I never had any problems with heat beforehand.
Now the problem is when I play high end games with graphics full on (Need for Speed Underground, Final Fantasy 11, Crammonds Grand Prix 4, etc...), and after d/l temperature monitoring tools I've found that my GPU hits 55-72C constantly during gameplay, and the sys/cpu temp is 20-30/30-40C, both on load, however when the Card does manage to hit anything between 58-72C it reboots the machine, I get garbage on my screen till I let the computer to cool for a few seconds (This only happens at 69C+(extremely rarely happens and only playing N4S:U)). I'm not sure whether this is to do with the Motherboard or not, though I know that there's an auto shutdown feature when a certain temeperature is reached. (Epox said it's nothing to do with this and I think they're right).
I'm not exactly sure what's going on here whether it's actually the BIOS controlling the temperature max and it's counting the GFX Card or whether it's to do with my GFX Card's setup (which I don't know how to change), everything's running at stock speeds.
As far as ventilation and airflow goes, it seems fine, I'm using the Chenbro "Gaming Bomb" case (if that's of any help), I have the front 80mm fan pumping air into the case with I think with little obstruction due to IDE cables (round), three PCI slots free from the GFX Card, another 80mm fan just above the GFX card at the back sucking out the air from within the case. The card is completely free with nothing obstructing air flow, I've tried with the side case off though the same thing seems to happen.
Anyone ever had this problem, and/or they know how to fix?
