SSD on IDE? If you can spend that much on modern storage, you can spend that much to upgrade from a legacy platform that can't even leverage full performance from your investment...

What i really want to know is why are they pushing SSD's on people for an OS drive....windows is constantly writing stuff to the swap file and such. SSD's suffer from the same problem as a usb thumb drive and will fail after so many writes. I've gone thru 2 thumb drives already where i balance my checkbook on a spreadsheet everyday and save it. Can Toms test one of these SSDs with constant data writes and see when it will fail. How many writes til failure? How long will it last under these conditions?
