This isn't an ipad 4. This is for the updated ipad 3. They're making all of their products lightning ports at once instead of waiting for the refresh on each individual model. This isn't going to be sold as the ipad 4

Guessing, because Apple sold 17 million iPad's and that's more $$$ than #1 PC maker Lenovo combined? Or Lenovo + HP combined sold $36B worth of everything and its less than Apple's projected quarterly results.

Apple is a real giant and amount of related news is reflecting it.

from a consumer point of view, it doesn't make sense to upgrade to something pointless that makes existing products non compatible/require an adapter that has a steep price.

enough to dedicate this ammount to one product that people only buy because they are indoctranated as an art student, or mindlessly but because the "cool" people have it.

ill give apple the success of the first iphone, first of its kind, not first ever, but first to catch on.
