Forgot to deactivate windows 8 when reformatting windows

Hello so I got myself in a bit of a situation,

My antivirus kept failing and after 30 minutes on their forums it said I might have a virus preventing it for searching and that I should reinstall windows completely.

So I reinstalled windows 8.1 completely and installed all the windows updated and tested my antivirus and it was searching again I was so happy so I went to reactivate my windows and it kept failing.

So I found the Product ID and the CD key and tried those all failed. I told my friend and he told me to call windows to reactivate so using the 9 section of number of the installation ID for my confirmation code but then the automatic response said that I might be a victim of piracy.

Please help my original code is for windows 8 but it used to work on 8.1.

EDIT: I once upgraded my CPU and motherboard and used the call method just fine.

call microsoft, but not the automated response, a operator, a person, they will help you once you confirm you have the real certificate of autenticity visible, readable

they will help you activating it, but if you had windows 10 and installed windows 8, the key is no longer viable to install windows 8, you need to download windows 10 and use the key for windows 10

if none of that helps, buy another windows, but windows 10
