Forgot to remove plastic off Asus Strix OC 1080ti

I've had the Asus Strix OC 1080ti for about two months and just noticed that I forgot to peel off the plastic on the backplate. Did I ruin the card? Should I remove the plastic now?

How well is the GPU working? I would try to carefully peel off the plastic.
