Another reminder for registered users of Forgotten Futures; if you pick
up the next release of the game at Dragonmeet I'll give the money I
would have spent on postage to Cancer Research UK. If you want someone
else to pick up your CD they'll need to quote your name and address. It
really would help if I had some idea how many are going to be collected.

By permission of the Dragonmeet organisers I'll also have some copies of
Diana: Warrior Princess for sale on my table; they're full price, but
I'll give two pounds to Cancer Research UK for each copy I sell.

Look for me in the first floor lobby.

In the end I raised 27 quid for charity; thanks to the Dragonmeet
organisers for letting me sell stuff from my table. With Dragonmeet out
of the way I got the remaining CDs duplicated and posted them over lunch
today...

Memo to self...

Next time you need to post 100+ packets at three different postal rates,
about a quarter of them requiring customs declarations which must be
hand-written, do not go to the busiest post office in the area at the
busiest time of day on the first Monday of the month this close to
Christmas.

Anyway it's done - Forgotten Futures IX is now in the hands of the gods,
e.g. the Post Office. No doubt in a week or so I'll start to hear from
people who haven't received it or got CDs that have somehow been
damaged, but for now I can relax a little.

Memo to registered users / reviewers / etc.

If you're in the UK please wait at least a week before telling me that
your CD hasn't arrived. If you're in the USA please give it ten days or
so. If it arrives damaged or non-functional (last time one blank CD was
somehow shipped) please let me know by e-mail, DON'T send it back!

The schedule for release is now as follows:

Now:
- FF IX sent to registered users & reviewers.
- Taking registrations and orders for the FF CD-ROM release 5.0, but it
won't be ready until January.

January 10th 2005:
- FF IX downloadable files (6.44 megabytes) go on line.
- FF Charity CD III available by mail order (FF IX plus about 18mb of
extra material)
- FF CD-ROM 5.0 available by mail order (Currently about 340mb but still
growing)
