Fork of Horrorpilation

I'm playing this one through again with my level 28 character (who has
previously dispatched Dagoth Ur without using Wraithguard) and is
trying to kill the Giant Netch for Sheogorath with the Fork of
Horrorpilation.

My problem is that I can see the Giant Netch on screen from all angles
but the name in the box doesn't come up and thus I cannot hit him with
the fork or anything else.

By anything else I mean spells, scrolls, Sword of the Monarch, all
kinds of very strong weaponry. It's as if I'm striking at a hologram.

Nothing works and I just don't mean the fork either.

Suggestions anyone?

Perhaps it's the wrong Netch :-? The 'Giant Netch' isn't on the same
island but one across IIRC.

Das strange. If it was a regular netch u shoulda hit it?!?!? I've never
come across that as a bug myself.

Well, you gotta use the fork regardless. Search for another netch and see
if that 'name' comes up?

Note that you only have to use the fork to deliver the killing blow. You
can use whatever you want up to that point.

In the end what I did was whack away with the fork for 5 minutes
completely to no effect then used a fire storm scroll to roast it. I
was then told I had satisfied Sheogorath and should report back for me
reward (?!?)

Actually when I did him the other night I had STARTED with the fork
and used a magic scroll to kill him. I didn't even start the yellow
bar with the fork and was pleasantly surprised to find that Sheogorath
liked me since unless I'm mistaken ALL the damage was done by the fire
storm and NONE by the fork!

Neat trick - I'm tempted to reload an earlier save just to check this

Yeh, I knew dat ... but it's more fun to use the fork from start to finish
;-)

I've never come across any 'not hittable/reachable by any means' bugs (?)
and have always used the fork throughout.
