I have looked for a thread that answers my question, however there does not seem to be one. Most people have the problem where the HDD is split into 2.2TB and 0.7TB HDDs.
I however don't have that problem - my BIOS sees the driver as a 2.7TB drive - device manager sees it as a 2.7TB drive, however when I try to format (choosing GPT) it freezes during formatting.
I have tried updating my drivers, but the problem still persists - any help here please? Note this is a secondary drive.
