Hello, I got an Acer Aspire E5 with pre-installed Win 10. I installed a new SSD. My question is, how can I format Windows on HDD and make a new installation of Windows on SSD? I have the Windows 10 key.

EDIT : It's better to use clone disk and transfer Windows 10 on SSD? I have EaseUS clone disk.

Solution
I presume there is only a single disk port ? If there are two ports, then hook both drives up and clone away.

Otherwise,I suggest forgetting the clone thing. There is no need to format anything at this point. Retrieve all your personal data from HDD onto a USB drive for now, Pull the HDD, install the SSD and then install windows 10 according to these steps. Best to use a 2nd USB drive for the install, just to be safe.

You could frame the HDD, call it " My First Drive " put it somewhere safe, emergency only kinda thing.
