format netbook without keyboard

So, I have a netbook that I need to format but most of the keys needed to go to boot menu are broken, I'm using an external mouse and keyboard right now but it doesn't work at the boot place so I can press the key to go to boot menu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the keyboard, no way around it if the external does not work. Does it work to get into the BIOS?

sadly no I can't get into the BIOS f12 doesn't work. Is it possible to change the key I need to press to get into the bios? or generaly change the keys? for example the left and down arrow don't work is it possible to ''assign'' them to other keys on the keyboard?
