Format new SSD or not ...

Hello everyone!
My question is very simple ...

I have a NEW SSD (i bought it today), and i want to know if i must format it using the command prompt (diskpart - clean - create partition - format quick fs=ntfs - and all the process) before installing windows? Or just install windows from the dvd like with hdd?

I read in some sites that is necessary to do that, because is new, and new ssds comes without format, but some ppl says is not necessary. What is the advantage of doing that?

if you putting windows 10 on the ssd, it will format it as part of the install process. might be an idea to follow this: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

You don't need to format it before, it will want unallocated space to install to. Unallocated = unformatted
