Format/Partition

Hi,

When installing windows 7 on a HARDDRIVE (Western Digital 500gb 7200rpm) I am re-using from another computer, into a new build....


....I want to DELETE all the existing partiions, and then go to advanced, and FORMAT the hardrive for a FRESH install right?

Yes, assuming you do not want any of the existing data on the HD, and want to completely start from scratch.

Delete partitions, create a new partition, then format & install. Win 7 installer should be able to handle that for you.
