I formatted my USB drive by right clicking > format > then did a full format of the disk.

I then opened diskpart and cleaned the disk.

Now when I right click > Properties it shows the disk as having 0 bytes:

When I try to open it I get the alert "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (G: )"

Diskpart shows the drive as having 58GB space. The picture below gives much more detail.

It's a transcend 64GB USB 3.0 drive that's about 4 years old. It has worked perfectly until now.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi D_Know_WD, thanks for your quick response.

Here is the screenshot of Disk Management:

The link you posted didn't work in firefox so I opened it in Chrome, which shortened it to this: http://support.wdc.com/KnowledgeBase/answer.aspx?ID=3865

I've also added a screenshot of the disk properties to my first post.

09.12am EDIT

D_Know_WD has saved the day! I followed the instructions on the link you sent and allocated a new partition/volume.

Disk Management now shows this:

Properties now shows this:

Many thanks :)
