Hi,

Hoping someone can find a solution to my problem.

I have recently reinstalled my operating system.
Once formatted, I installed all the drivers, utilities for my motherboard and graphics card.
I now have no sound, even though the RealTek audio driver is installed.
I have gone into 'device manager' right clicked to check for updates and Windows advise me that my drivers are up to date.

There is an 'x' on my audio icon stating "No Speakers or Headphones are plugged in" and i know my speakers are plugged in and working as i tested them on my ipod. My PC is recognising the input jack, as a window pops up.

Kind of lost where to go next. dont want to re-format the OS again.

Please Help.

First Forum post on this site,

Hope it serves me well

Many Thanks in advance,

Regards

Thanks for the reply.

Is there any troubleshooting i could do to determine this.

I am sure the sounds was working at an earlier point when i reformatted my OS.
as i installed itunes and loaded all my music on there/ played the music.

Anyone with previous experience, please share your solutions.

Thank you
