Yo, so my USB got infected with a virus that kept hiding my files. In order to get rid of it I formatted the drive (I unchecked the quick format box), but the drive was in FAT32, and I decided to switch over to NTFS, currently I'm trying to recover the data that got formatted because there was something that I needed in there. I have tried EaseUS, M3 Data Recovery and Recuva. (Recuva and EaseUS were both paid versions) but so far the only thing that the software are finding even with the deep scan is only the System Volume Information Folder. Is there any way I can get my files back at this point? Will reformatting the drive back to FAT32 and then trying recovery softwares help?

Hi

Reformating again will reduce the posibilty of any recovery further
Short files like camera pictures have a reasonable chance of recovery
Long files like video recordings very little chance

I would try testdisk photo recovery suite from cgsecurity.org
This is a free product

If deep scanning does not find anything as well as using Recuva & easeus then there is probably nothing left to find

When doing data recovery it is important to recover the data to a different disk not the disk you are searching
