Formatting issue with external scsi drive

Hi there I'm having trouble formatting an external scsi drive to use on my mpc2000xl.

I posted a thread onto an mpc forums site but it doesnt seem to be used that much anymore so I thought I'd ask you guys. Here's the link to the original thread

Of course I believe him. I'm just waiting for his response after sending him on more details about the hard drive (which he asked for). I thought I'd post it on this site as well while I wait.. I'm not familiar with scsi at all so the more answers I get, the better

I agree that the SCSI1 vs SCSI3 is probably the problem.
